Hydrogen, a lightweight and energy-dense fuel source, is a promising energy source with the potential to power heavy vehicles such as trucks, ships and airplanes. It is stored in high pressure tanks and takes up 50% less space than lithium batteries and has energy density 10 times greater than that of lithium batteries. Green hydrogen can also be used to store electricity at our homes.

The use of Hydrogen plays a vital role in achieving zero carbon emissions where 50-60% reduction in total emission can be achieved using renewable energy. The extraction of Hydrogen from fossil fuel is a pollution heavy process, leading to the production of 843 metric tons of CO2 every year. Green Hydrogen is a solution to this.

Hydrogen is very energy dense, which means a lot of energy can be stored in a small volume. It would work best for heavy vehicles (truck, ship, airplane). Green hydrogen can be used to store electricity at our homes. Hydrogen storage tanks take 50% less space compared to Lithium batteries.Hydrogen’s energy to weight ratio is 10x greater than lithium batteries. One of the major challenges in using hydrogen is its storage. Hydrogen requires to be stored in high pressure tanks or liquefaction and storage in cryogenic tanks, which is very expensive. The cheapest way to store it is underground salt caverns, which are safe and reliable; no high pressurization and can be stored for longer periods of time.
