Appearance
Nickel dioxide appears as a grey-black powder.
Solubility
Nickel oxide black is not soluble in water and slightly soluble in acids when cold. However, it is more soluble in acids when hot.
Uses
It is widely used in the production of Edison accumulators for the preparation of electrodes
